A Good Investment

I bought these because I was tired of paying over $1.50 per gel. Basically, I fill the bottle with a 1:3 mix of coffee and maple syrup and it costs almost nothing. That gives me about 300 kcal and 50g of carbohydrates. I usually only carry one flask per ride since I only switch to this higher fuel towards the end of a ride. But the equivalent number of gels to get this nutritional value would be 4-5… close to $10 per ride. I think it well worth the bit of hassle in filling the flask.

Just what I needed

I'm making my own gel/drink and the flasks are just perfect for getting a quick drink of something thinner. And the do well in the top rack of my dishwasher. I like them better than my soft flask.

Love the flask

I used a flask when I did my Ironman personal best of 9h18. It held 75g of carbs and 2g of sodium which helped me stay fueled during the run. I also used when I ran my BQ marathon for a similar reason. I like it and I recommend it.
